Comrade,
I applaud your selfless dedication to the cause of eating as much French food as possible. Right on.
Next time, get to the Auberge de l'Ill in Alsace and have their truffe sous la cendre. Or anything else, for that matter. It's all tasty.
This is my new favourite blog. Look me up next time you're in Paris and we'll hit l'Ami Jean like we've never tasted bacon before.

[...] L’Ambroisie by A Life Worth Eating - my truffle-eating-friend recently told me about the feuilleté de truffe fraîche “bel humeur” - a whole truffle with foie gras cooked inside a perfect pastry. The price tag for that dish alone is frightening but I wish they were open last year during the Truffle Trip. L’Ambroisie was open for A Life Worth Eating and they also espouse the greatness of what must be one of the world’s most luxurious dishes. [...]

[...] The truffle trip was generally a success. There were both astonishing and very poor dishes (as well as entire meals) that ranged from reasonably priced to hideously expensive. You will read and see the results over the upcoming weeks. [...]
